Sandstream
Background
Sandstream is a leading solar home and community solutions business. It has been mandated by the Rural Electrification Agency in Nigeria and the World Bank to drive the adoption of sustainable energy sources across the country. Making the case for solar power as a solution to moving the sustainable development goal (SDG) goals needle was thus a critical for the brand.
Creative Idea
Nigeria is often described as the ‘green land’ for it’s agricultural potential. Here, the idea was conceptualized of a ‘<strong>Greener Naija</strong>’ campaign as one that would highlight different SDG goal challenges confronting Nigeria and use creative illustrations to situate Sandstream’s solar solutions to achieve each goal.
Strategy
Our strategy was aligning the SDG goals squarely with the brands reason for being, aligning these purposes would help cut through clutter.
Execution
Each design took one SDG goal for each material and used clever art illustration to insert a visual metaphor for Sandstream solar as the difference maker in achieving the goal.
Results
The campaign creatives were very well received and generated positive comments on the brands page where it was posted and promoted across Nigeria on Facebook and Instagram.
