UP IN THE SKY LTD
The build up to the 2023 Nigerian general elections had been characterized by heavy citizen interest but difficulty in the actual registration and picking up of their permanent voters’ cards. With voter apathy setting in, the Dano milk brand was compelled to motivate its target audience to brave the odds and complete the cycle of citizen engagement by turning up to vote. The task then was to design a creative visual that delivered on the objective while reinforcing the proposition of the brand as a leading milk brand in the country.
The goal was to develop a design that did <em>3 things simultaneously</em>: first, it needed to recognise the effort people had made in getting this far in the process; second it needed to encourage them to finish what they started; and finally, it needed to be entirely synonymous with the brand sending the message.
Our strategy was to use one visual device to tell 2 stories - an encouragement to vote and also situating the brand
A simple glass of milk with a straw in it detailed all the steps a citizen had to go through to vote. The copy used a simple call to action to encourage all registered voters to go ahead and finish the fight.
As detailed in the last few weeks, the 2023 elections saw one of the highest engagements of a younger audience willing to look for change in a country that had often overlooked them. The Dano Milk brand used its multiple platforms to contribute to this awareness Nationwide.
