Venus Tawiah is a multi-disciplined business leader, strategist, and award-winning creative known as "The Missing Link. She is one of Ghana's most prominent women in Advertising Communications and is the first person from the industry to be selected as a judge on the Cannes Lions WARC Awards.
Venus is known for driving business transformation through creativity, digital, gaming, and technology and has experience working across the UK & EMEA. She works with organizations to bridge the gaps between vision and actualisation. Her formula for success is: "Unearth, Connect, Build, Grow!"
As Director of Business and Corporate Communications at Now Available Africa, Venus has helped numerous businesses transition into Africa and the digital realm. She has collaborated with organisations like NIKE, Diageo, UN WFP, Estée Lauder, Nestlé, Unilever, Access Bank Ghana, Akosombo Textiles, Affinity Bank and IOM. She brings valuable African insights to global conversations.
At a time when most businesses in the Sub-Saharan region and the Ghanaian advertising industry were focused solely on traditional methods, Venus championed the integration of digital. She has been instrumental in transitioning businesses across various industries into the digital realm. Her efforts, collaborations with industry leaders, and advocacy have significantly contributed to the understanding, adoption, and recognition of digital in Ghana and beyond. In the Esports Gaming arena, she is Director of Women’s Esports with the eSports Association of Ghana, recognised as one of the few women driving the growth of the industry in Ghana, particularly through her work in developing "Games for Change" with organisations like UN WFP where she led a project to develop a behavioural change game called SESA which is supported by Animation films she co-produced. She also mentors female gamers who are building careers in eSports. Additionally, she is an athlete on Ghana's National Fencing Team and Creative Director at @SuneVCouture a slow fashion sustainable accessories brand.
Venus is an active member of the Advertising Association of Ghana, the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG), the Executive Women’s Network, and the Esports Association Ghana.
