Hadizat Ibrahim is an AMVCA-nominated, award-winning media executive, television producer, and filmmaker with over two decades of experience across multiple media platforms and genres.

Hadizat is the Founder and Executive Producer of March 31 Media, leading the development and delivery of premium content across television, film, and live broadcast. She is widely recognised for her strength in storytelling, production strategy, and the execution of large-scale productions, with a reputation for delivering commercially successful, high-quality scripted and unscripted content. She began her career in radio, where she spent 9 years honing her storytelling and audience engagement expertise, before transitioning into television and film, where she has spent the past 12 years shaping Africa’s contemporary screen landscape. Her body of work spans international reality formats, original films, and high-stakes live broadcast and international programming, with a proven track record in managing complex, high-budget productions.

Her screen credits include some of Africa’s most recognisable media franchises. She served as Series Producer on three seasons of The Real Housewives of Lagos and Season 3 of The Voice Nigeria. A specialist in live event broadcasting, Hadizat has produced the live broadcast of The Headies Awards (Main Show and Red Carpet), AMVCA Red Carpet and After Party, and the Trace Awards Red Carpet Live Broadcast in Rwanda. An excellent storyteller and filmmaker, some of her movies include Employee of the Year, All Mine, The Counsellor, and The Playbook.

Her projects have earned her multiple industry recognitions, including nominations at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival for Best Producer African (2024) and Best Female Filmmaker – International (2023), as well as Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards nominations for All Mine (Best Scripted M-Net Original, 2025) and The Irabors Forever After (Best Unscripted M-Net Original, 2024).

Hadizat has held senior leadership roles, including Commissioning Editor at Africa Magic/M-Net, where she supervised the production of over 40 original films, reinforcing her depth of experience in content evaluation, development, and quality control. She also played a key role in elevating the production value of Tinsel, West Africa’s longest-running television series, while achieving notable budget efficiencies. Her work on The Irabors Forever After, which she both produced and directed, underscores her range across formats.

Hadizat Ibrahim has served as a Jury Member for leading industry platforms, including the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards and the International Emmy Awards, reflecting her positioning as a respected and trusted voice in assessing excellence and innovation in the global media landscape.

She is an elected member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Independent Television Producers Association of Nigeria (ITPAN), and remains committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of media professionals.
