About

Ifeyinwa

Ify Mogekwu is a renowned food story teller, culinary consultant, and award-winning food entrepreneur redefining the African culinary landscape through digital media, education, and strategic brand collaborations. As the founder and creative director of Ify’s Kitchen, she has built a globally recognized platform dedicated to championing mindful eating, celebrating vibrant flavors, and elevating African and continental cuisines.
With a professional background as a corporate and commercial lawyer, Ify spent over 14 years advising multinational corporations on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business strategy at ACAS-Law (now Dentons ACAS). Her transition into the food industry was driven by a passion to simplify cooking, empower home cooks, and bridge the gap between traditional and modern culinary innovation.
A trusted voice in the global food space, Ify has cultivated an engaged digital audience of over 7 million followers across platforms, solidifying her influence as a leading culinary educator and food media personality. Her expertise extends beyond content creation—she has hosted a TV cooking show on DSTV, developed online cookery courses, and consulted for restaurants, food brands, and hospitality businesses across Africa and beyond.
Ify’s commitment to excellence, authenticity, and innovation has earned her multiple industry accolades, including the GAGE Award for Food Vlogger of the Year (2023 & 2024), Pulse TV Food Influencer Award (2021), and the Pyne Award for Food Blogger of the Year (2018). She was also recognized as part of the prestigious YouTube Black Voices Class of 2023 for her contributions to the digital culinary space. In 2025, she was honoured by YouTube as one of Nigeria’s Top Creators during the platform’s 20th Anniversary Celebration and became one of the first Nigerian creators to speak at the Cannes Film Festival. That same year, she was a panelist at the Women Makers Series, Handle It Africa by the British Council of Nigeria, The Creative Blueprint by Funke Akindele, and a speaker at the Herconomy Conference.
Beyond content creation, Ify is deeply invested in mentorship, community empowerment, and the business of food. Through strategic partnerships, she is helping to shape the future of African cuisine on a global stage, proving that food is not just sustenance but a vessel for culture, connection, and transformation.
She is married and a proud mother of twins
