Olalekan

Olalekan Akinyele—widely known as “the Multi-Hyphenate One”—is a multiple award-winning creative leader with over 15 years of experience spanning advertising, brand design, storytelling, and brand management.

He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Creative Director at JT Agency, a Guinness World Record-holding visual storytelling company specializing in legacy books, documentaries, and experiential events.

Earlier in his career, he was the Creative Director at 7even Interactive, where he led a strategic transformation that repositioned the agency into a thriving creative business in the post-COVID-19 era. He has also held roles at leading agencies including Dentsu Creative, Fuel, Etu-Odi, and Noah’s Ark.

Olalekan is recognized for leveraging data-driven insights, design thinking, and creativity to deliver impactful solutions for both local and global brands. His portfolio spans multiple sectors, including FMCG, telecommunications, banking, automotive, fintech, electronics, NGOs, Government MDAs, and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Brands he has worked on include Indomie Noodles, Paga, LG, Sahara Group, Skye Bank, Rolls-Royce, Bang & Olufsen, Dunlop, FRSC, Gionee, Havells, Chivita, ntel, Lucozade, Ribena, Orijin, Smirnoff, Gordon’s Gin, Netflix, Hero Lager Beer, Seaman’s Schnapps, 9mobile, Wild Turkey, Ovaltine, NNPC, Lagos State, Ekiti State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, SKY Girls, among others.

He has also contributed to the industry as a jury member for several prestigious award platforms, including LAIF, Pitcher Awards, Loeries, The Andy Awards, and the Red Apple Awards.

Beyond his corporate role, Olalekan is the Founder and Lead Facilitator of Think Like A Designer, a human development platform dedicated to equipping creatives, designers, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs with design thinking methodologies to build meaningful products, services, and solutions for individuals, businesses, and society at large.

Fondly called “Lexain,” he holds a degree in Geophysics from Olabisi Onabanjo University. He is passionate about fashion, technology, and entertainment, and enjoys walking, karaoke, snooker, traveling, research, writing, capacity building, startup development, and product and service design. He is married with three children and is a member of Ikoyi Club and The Beacons Club.
