Dare Art Alade, professionally known as Darey is a multiple award-winning and multi-platinum Afro Soul/R&B singer, musician, songwriter, music producer, showstopper extraordinaire and creative entrepreneur. He is also the son of the legendary African Jazz Musician and entertainer Art Alade. Since gaining exposure across Africa as runner up in the 2004 season of Music talent search reality TV show, Project Fame, Darey has made an indelible mark on the Nigerian and African creative industry.

As a seasoned entertainer, Darey has graced the stage alongside some of the World’s biggest personalities, including Beyoncé, Wizkid, Jay Z, Ciara, Cardi B, Burna Boy, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Sean Paul, Usher, R Kelly, Kim Kardashian, Akon, Lionel Richie and many more. His albums From Me 2 U, unDAREYted, Double Dare, and Way Home have sold several million copies cumulatively and helped him amass a legion of fans across Africa and the globe.

His music catalogue which boasts of smash hits such as “Escalade”; “Carry Dey Go” featuring Afro pop legend 2 Baba, the piano laced classic, “Not The Girl”, “Pray For Me” featuring multiple Grammy award winning super group, Soweto Gospel Choir, and more, has received multiple awards and nominations including MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAS), Channel O Awards, World Music Awards, The Headies, Nigerian Music Awards and a host of other accolades.

In addition to his illustrious music career. Darey has been a highly successful radio and TV personality, often appearing as a coach, judge, or host on several TV shows, including Project Fame West Africa, Nigerian Idol, and was the winning coach of The Voice Nigeria (season 3). He is also a seasoned master of ceremonies, voice over artist and philanthropist.

Darey Art Alade is the co-founder of Livespot360, a top-tier creative solutions company responsible for some of the most innovative and disruptive ideas (and executions) in Nigeria. He has executive produced many successful experiences and some of the most elaborate and ground-breaking concerts and festivals in Nigeria such as Love Like A Movie, Livespot X Festival, Born In Africa Festival, and more recently in 2022, the first ever edition of Entertainment Week Lagos.

Darey has executive produced and created experiences for brands such as Amazon, Disney, Nestlé, Fenty, Nickelodeon, Meta, Multichoice, MTN, Coca-Cola, NBC Universal, Heineken, Netflix, Access Bank, NBA, and a host of others. The Real Housewives of Lagos for Showmax and the global Prime Video unscripted original format Last One Laughing (LOL) Naija are some of the most recent TV formats that he has executive produced as well.

Darey Art Alade is a consummate perfectionist and a household name who despite already accomplishing a lot, is still determined to continue to elevate his game and expand his creative empire.

Darey is indeed Nigeria’s Ambassador for the culture.
