Akaoma Onyeonoru is a communications and media strategist with over a decade’s experience driving powerful storytelling, bold content strategy, and brand positioning across Africa’s creative ecosystem. Her work sits at the intersection of media, marketing, and culture—where ideas don’t just land, but shape perception.

As Academy Director for the MultiChoice Talent Factory West Africa, a flagship initiative of MultiChoice Africa, she leads the development of emerging African filmmakers, equipping them with the creative and commercial tools to compete globally. Under her leadership, the program has sustained and grown its’ reputation of a high-impact platform for talent discovery, industry relevance, and authentic African storytelling.

Akaoma’s strength lies in turning strategy into influence—designing programs, building partnerships, and creating content-driven ecosystems that deliver measurable impact. She brings a sharp understanding of audiences, a deep respect for craft, and a clear vision for how African stories should be seen, heard, and valued on the world stage.

She holds a B.A. in Linguistics from University of Ibadan and continues to champion storytelling as both a cultural force and a business advantage.
